February is “Love Our Camp” month. Camp Whispering Pines was founded by the Mobile Baptist Association in 1947. Probably every person in our church can recall someone who gave their life to Jesus at Camp Whispering pines. They are asking for donations of $19.47 from each member of the churches in the association to help this wonderful ministry to keep making an impact in young lives for the Kingdom. We will be holding a special called business meeting after morning worship on Sunday, February 23rd. This meeting will be to vote on proposed changes & corrections to our church’s bylaws. Copies of the proposed changes & corrections are available upon request by calling the church office at 251.414.9700 or by sending an email to Administration@OrchardBaptist.net. They are also available in the foyer of the sanctuary.
Do you have yard work that needs to be done, chores that need to be attended to, or anything else done around your house? We have a student or two for that.
Saturday, March 1st, we will be reaching out to our neighbors to share the love & good news of Jesus. This opportunity is open to all ages and abilities. We will meet here at 9am for coffee and doughnuts. Bro. Tim will give us instructions and tips on how to share Jesus with our neighbors. Then we will divide up into groups and go out to be fishers of men. A willing heart is all that is required, God will handle the rest.
“Hope for Tomorrow” Friendship Luncheon – Join us for a fundraising concert featuring The Hill Brothers! We will take up a special offering to go towards disaster relief from the hurricanes of last year. Tickets will be $15 for lunch and the concert. A love offering will be taken. Our Ladies Lunch Bunch will be meeting at Chili’s on Schillinger Road on Friday, February 28. There will be a sign up sheet in the foyer or use our online form by clicking the image above for any ladies who would like to join us.
Join us for a fun-filled evening of games and fellowship on Friday, March 7th at 6 PM. Bring heavy finger foods, snacks and drinks to share. Be sure to invite your one and bring all your friends.
Our student ministry, Students Exalting Christ (SEC), will be having a game night on Saturday, March 15th at the Hackett’s home.
On the 5th Sunday of March (the 30th), our students will be hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Each plate is $15. All proceeds will go to help our students go to Student Camp this year. Click the image above to reserve your plates today.
